  • There was an exceptional turn out of parishioners for the Confirmation Service presided over by Bishop John Howard on June 15, 2008. Members of St. Peter's were either confirmed, reaffirmed and received into the Episcopal Church by Bishop Howard who also gave the sermon before the Confirmation rites took place. We at St. Peter's would like to thank Bishop Howard for performing the service and to thank him and his wife for taking the time out of their busy schedules to attend the reception in the parish hall that followed.   • The June 8, 2008 renewing of marriage vows and the 50th Anniversary reception for Father Bob and Ann Weeks was a rousing success. You can view pictures for the event in the web site's photo gallery under the Events and News button or by clicking here.

 

  • On May 10, 2008 St Peter's Church, on behalf of World Outreach, received from the Westside distribution center of the U.S. Postal service 13,054 pounds of non perishable food. The food was collected by postal delivery workers from individuals in the community who left bags of non perishable food next to their mail boxes. The postal workers then transported the food to the postal distribution center for pickup. Members of St. Peter's went to the distribution center and loaded the food in to their vehicles and brought the food to the food pantry of World Outreach for sorting and future distribution. St. Peter's would like to thank all those who participated in making this year's food drive such a rousing success.

  • St Peter's would also like to give a special "Thank You" to the ladies who have been sorting, organizing and bagging all the food that was collected from the U.S. Postal service on May 10th. 13,054 pounds of food does not sort and distribute itself you know!
