St. Peter’s Youth Ministry

Y-Rooms~ Praise the Lord! We are slowly, but surely, getting this project done. We recently had an electrician come in and finish all of the new wiring. Tom Lambert and Wally Pillsbury came in afterwards and took care of some lighting concerns as well. Courtland Hunter has finished all of the headers and will be working on the posts. All that remains after that are the walls for the prayer room and a new coat of paint. Thank You, Lord, for your provisions for this great new multi-purpose room for our growing youth.

Fall Sunday School~ Our Fall Sunday School program is the “whole” group in our new Youth Rooms. The subject of our Biblical study is “Foundation: Jesus Christ as our Rock”.

Wednesday nights~ We will begin small groups on Wednesday nights in October. This a “return” to building relationships in our youth group. Once a month, we will meet as a larger group, re-group and share what the Lord is doing through our small group time.

Sunday Nights~ Now that school has started again, we are back into a routine on Sunday nights. We are focusing on blessings/devotions and team-building. During our break-out time, our dance, drama (skits), and music ministries are in full swing.

Night of Joy: We took a total of 27 youth and Adult leaders to “Night of Joy” at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios on September 7. “Night of Joy” is an evening of Christian concerts by various contemporary Christian music artists. Both kids and adults alike had a wonderful time. A special thanks to Larry and Ann Smith who let all 27 of us bunk at their house so that we wouldn’t have to drive back to Jacksonville at 2:00 a.m. It was a great trip! Thanks to all the Adult and Young Adult Youth Leaders that helped out with this trip.

Nathlyn Hemmingway: for her ministry covering and her organization of all of our Youth meals on Sunday nights.

Courtland Hunter and Walter Pillsbury: for all of their work and wisdom with our Y-room project. Their skills have saved us thousands of dollars!

Kim Fooshee: for her time, effort, and faithfulness in working with the youth, especially in small groups.

Last, but not least, for my WIFE, Michelle, for putting up with all the time this ministry involves. I am thankful for her support and prayer for this ministry and the role the Lord has given me to be in it.

Prayer Focus

Please continue to pray for the Youth Ministry, for all of our youth and the trials they go through in their daily lives, for their parents, and for all of our youth leaders who help and support this ministry.
